CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, May 17, 2022, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) held consultation talks with shippers and transporters dealing in bulk products. This comes after the meetings held with livestock, wood, brewery and cash crop sector actors.

Chaired by CNSC’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Younouss Soungui, the purpose of this meeting was to determine the minimum applicable rates for the transportation of such goods within the country.

Shippers and transporters present at the meeting had constructive discussions and saw the need for them to meet again on 27 May to conclude on the said rates. These sectoral consultations will continue tomorrow, 18 May 2022, with stakeholders of the basic commodity sector.
