The CNSC at the opening ceremony of the cross-border trade fair in Kye-Ossi

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade, Mrs. Brusil Miranda Metou, cut the symbolic ribbon today, 30 July 2022, in Kye-Ossi. This marked the official opening of the 13th edition of the Annual Central Africa Cross-Border Trade Fair (FOTRAC) under the theme "Regional integration and the AfCFTA: resilience of key players of Africa's socio-economic development amidst security crises and the covid-19 pandemic."

Many public and private administrations heeded to the call of the event’s organiser, Mrs. Danielle Nlate, President of the Network of Active Women of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (REFAC). The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) was represented at the event by its General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda.

The tri-border town of Kye-Ossi will, until 6 August 2022, witness various activities designed to promote cross-border trade.
Several neighbours and friends of Cameroon such as Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Chad, Rwanda, Burundi, Sao Tome and Principe, Angola and the DRC, are actively participating in the trade event. Other countries in attendance include Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and of course Cameroon, which heartily welcomes its guests.
