CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 17 November 2022, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and Statutory Treasurer of the Union of African Shippers' Councils (UASC), officially launched the working session of the UASC Standing Committee No. 2 in charge of Regulation and Cooperation in Douala, seat of UASC.

In his address, Mr. Giscard Lilian Ogoula, UASC Secretary General, welcomed the various delegations to the two-day meeting during which delegates will take stock of the relations between the UASC and African Organisations, on the one hand, and between its members, on the other hand. This meeting is an opportunity for members to further strengthen ties between them for the optimal functioning of the Union and to act in unison.

Initially scheduled to take place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the meeting is finally taking place in Douala, after the CNSC permitted its sister council to host the meeting on its premises. Speaking in the presence of delegates from Angola, Guinea Conakry, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Ghana, Togo, Congo, Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr. Ndoume Jean Patrick, OIC's Technical Adviser, heartily extended the gratitude of OIC's General Manager to Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, for offering CNSC's conference hall for the meeting.
