CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

A powerful delegation from the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) was in Gabon from 22 to 24 April 2023 to meet with the local business community. The purpose of their trip was to showcase trade prospects within the CWEIC network to the Gabonese community.

The team which comprised CWEIC’s Deputy Chairman, Lord Hugo Swire; the Country Director for Cameroon, Gabon and Togo, Mr. Cham Etienne Bama; a delegation of Indian businessmen, as well as a host of CWEIC Strategic Partners in Cameroon, held working sessions with the Gabonese ministries of Transport, Trade, Health and the National Investment Promotion Agency.

These working sessions which featured presentations offered a platform for participants to inform the public about their business activities and sectors of interest. This was in a bid to match-make companies that could do business together, thereby promoting intra-Commonwealth trade - the main purpose of this GAC. Gabonese authorities expressed their satisfaction with this CWEIC outreach initiative and reiterated their commitment to activities that promote cooperation and project financing.

A similar exercise will be conducted in the Republic of Togo from 24 to 26 April
