CAMEROON NATIONALThe multipurpose hall of the Douala Maritime Museum hosted a training session on how to use the new digital platform used to issue Electronic Cargo Tracking Notes (ECTN) for exports, due to become operational on 1 January 2026.
Organised by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), the training session kicked off on 17 December 2025 under the joint coordination of Mrs Flore NTJAM NGO NDENGA, Head of the Operations Unit, and Mr Merveille TONYE, Sub-Director for Training and International Cooperation.
Participants were provided with an overview of the new BESC 3.0 platform, including account creation simulations and ECTN establishment. The new ECTN for sea-bound export cargo was then presented by Mr. Elvis Tsagui, Director of Operations and Projects at the CNSC.
In order to further promote this tool for the identification and statistical tracking of goods, a similar training session is scheduled for tomorrow, 18 December 2025, at the CNSC regional office in the southern port city of Kribi.
