On 27 January 2025, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda chaired an awareness-raising meeting in Paris, France on the new version of the ECTN issuance application dubbed “BESC 3.0”. The meeting was attended by business persons in the Import/Export sector for goods bound for and leaving Cameroon. The meeting was also attended by many shippers and their brokers, including freight forwarders who handle shipping between Cameroon and Europe.
During the meeting, the CNSC outlined the new ECTN issuance procedure which came into force on 1 January 2025. This more dynamic digital platform has many new features designed to further streamline procedures. These span from data collection and processing to electronic payment methods. The new version also makes the ECTN issuance process much easier for shippers worldwide.
CNSC's General Manager was accompanied to the meeting by his closest collaborators, amongst whom Mr. Mvondo Ekanga Tobie, Head of the CNSC Paris Office, and Mr. Koum Claude Cyriac, Head of the CNSC IT Systems Division.
