SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 21 September 2022, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, flanked by his staff, went on an inspection visit at the CNSC Dibamba Trucker Accommodation Centre following renovation works aimed at improving the standards of this trucker facility.

Indeed, CNSC's Dibamba trucker facility provides accommodation and recreational facilities for truckers plying the Douala - Bangui, Douala - Ndjamena corridors. With a surface area of 3.5 hectares, the highly secured facility is equipped with modern rooms, an eatery, a mosque, a water tower and a very accommodating staff. A truck driver, Cheick Kouyate, affirms that the existence of this accommodation centre makes their work easier and has saved many lives.

Renovation works at this accommodation centre are taking place a few days before the laying of the foundation stone for CNSC's Garoua-Boulaï Trucker Accommodation Centre slated for September 30, and the official opening of CNSC's Trucker Accommodation Centre in Ngoulentang, Mengang sub-division, scheduled to take place on 14 October 2022.
