The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) is participating in the 5th edition of the Cameroon International Tourism Fair, which began on 19 March 2026. Organised by the authorities of the Limbe City Council, the event is holding under the theme: “Tourism, Culture and Trade Synergy: Uncovering Nature’s Treasures for Economic Growth”.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Gabriel Mbairobe, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, who doubles as Acting Minister of Tourism and Leisure. In his address, the Minister underscored the Government’s commitment to making Cameroon a land of opportunities, particularly through tourism, a strategic sector with many attractions and capable of attracting investment.
The CNSC exhibition stand continues to attract many visitors, with hostesses on hand to educate them about the Douala Maritime Museum's contributions to the national tourism ecosystem since it opened its doors in 2013. The Douala Maritime Museum offers activities and holds artefacts that recount Cameroon’s maritime history. The museum also has unique virtual attractions in Central Africa.
To promote Cameroon’s national heritage, cultural events also take centre stage at the Museum, as is currently the case with the special “Matrimoine” exhibition, scheduled to run until 29 March 2026.
