CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council hereby reminds persons engaged in foreign trade that pursuant to instructions from the Administration on the digitization of foreign trade operations, the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) is a document that allows shippers to anticipate customs clearance procedures.  Consequently, late ECTN submission and regularisation procedures are exceptional measures subject to special processing fees.

Since the start of 2022, it has been noticed that this seems to be a more common option for shippers. Should this trend continue, the CNSC will be obliged to considerably increase the late ECTN submission or regularisation penalty fee.

As a reminder, ECTNs are established through our port agents and submitted for validation no later than two days prior to the arrival of the consignment in Cameroon.
