The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) wishes to inform shippers, ship owners, freight forwarders and other business persons that the cost for the regularisation of an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) will be increased to 200% of the ECTN value as from 1 February 2023.
This is because there has been an abnormal increase in the number of Regularisation ECTNs issued in recent months, despite all the awareness-raising activities undertaken by the CNSC.
This growing trend evidenced by the increasing number of Regularisation ECTNs is not compliant with the provisions of Ministerial Order No. 00557/MINT of 11 July 2006, establishing the ECTN, modified and supplemented by Order No. 000289/MINT of 5 March 2007, instituting the ECTN as an anticipatory document.
As a reminder, ECTNs for imported goods must be obtained from CNSC agents at the port of loading no later than 48 hours before the arrival of the ship at a Cameroon port. The complete list and addresses of these agents are available on CNSC’s official website accessible via the link www.cncc.cm.
The General Manager of the CNSC is counting on the understanding and collaboration of business persons to put an end to this growing trend. Should you require additional information, please contact any of the following persons:
