The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) hereby reminds importers and exporters that the procedure for registration on the FIMEX database (importers’/exporters’ file), is established by Decree No. 2017/6523/ of 7 June 2017, setting out the terms and conditions for the application of Law No. 2016/004 of 18 April 2016 governing foreign trade in Cameroon.
This procedure must be respected by persons wishing to engage in foreign trade operations.
The corresponding costs are as follows:
-For imports
- 30,000 CFA francs as annual registration fees
- 15,000 CFA francs for CNSC annual fees
-For exports
-30,000 CFA francs as annual registration fees.
Shippers are thus expected to submit their completed application files at the Secretariat of the Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Trade, alongside proof of payment of the relevant amounts against a receipt, in order to better monitor the progress of their file and avoid having to pay additional fees.
