CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On 12 December 2024, the Network of Female Professionals of the Port and Maritime Sector in Cameroon (RFPMP- CAM) organised a Conference themed "the impact of digitization on port competitiveness” at the PAD Club in Douala.

This conference brought together women associations such as RFPMP-CAM, AFCP-CAM, AFPAK, Dauphines du PAD, CNSC Ladies and CCWA under the general coordination of Nicole Nesse, Consultant and Sworn Maritime and Port Expert.

Four panel discussions were held to enlighten participants on topics such as Digitization: definition, challenges, advantages and disadvantages; Digitization: CNSC's contribution to foreign trade competitiveness; Digitization: impact on port competitiveness and paperless operations; and SMART PORTS: an essential option for Cameroonian ports.

Visibly satisfied, the ladies congratulated RFPMP- CAM for this great initiative while hoping that their managements would heed to the proposals made towards the empowerment of women in the port and maritime sector.
