CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) and the Chadian Shippers’ Council (COC-Chad) signed a protocol agreement on Thursday 14 May 2026 at the COC-Chad headquarters in N’Djamena, with a view to modernising existing transport corridors.

This signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 5th edition of the Chad–Cameroon–CAR tripartite forum hosted by Chad. The signatories to the agreement were the General Managers of the two institutions, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda for the CNSC and Mr. Hamid Djoumino for COC-Chad, in the presence of Mr. Cyrus Ngo’o, Director General of the Port Authority of Douala.

This protocol aims to make the Douala–Kribi / N’Djamena corridor a key lever for logistics competitiveness in the Central African sub-region, and covers key areas such as the interconnection of information systems, electronic cargo tracking and the facilitation of customs formalities. It also includes reducing irregular practices, producing reliable statistics, managing complaints and engaging technical and financial partners.

The ultimate goal for the CNSC and COC-Chad is to ensure an efficient and hassle-free corridor for importers and exporters of both countries.
