SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), Patrice Melom, met with officials from the Union of African Shippers' Councils (UASC) on Monday 13 May in Yaoundé. This important meeting took place at the PAK Yaoundé branch office.

 

Representatives from the UASC present included the Secretary General Mr. Abdourahamane Abba Kafougou and Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, UASC Statutory Treasurer and General Manager of the CNSC.

 

Discussions focused on how to boost cooperation between UASC and PAK. Noted that the Port of Kribi is increasingly establishing itself as a benchmark facility among Africa’s ports. This budding collaboration with the UASC, a specialised body of the Maritime Organisation for West and Central Africa (MOWCA), foretells a promising future.
