CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The seventh session of the Douala Maritime Museum's "Fun and Educational Holidays" youth programme took place today, Wednesday 27 July, and mainly focused on performing arts. The day's activities included singing and drumming, dance and theatre arts. These were coordinated by Mr. Tete Eboumbou, an instructor of literary and performing arts.

The first activity of the session was dancing, and it was with a ton of energy, joy and enthusiasm that the kids learnt to dance to the rhythm of the drums of people from the littoral region.

For the second activity, the theatrical performance staged the presentation and enthronement of the new king of the Duala people. This performance was accompanied by the songs and the dance choreographies rehearsed earlier in the day.

This 7th session ended in an atmosphere of song and percussive drumming. The next appointment has been taken for Friday, 29 July at the Douala Maritime Museum as from 9:30 a.m.
