The opening ceremony will be chaired by Mr. Joseph Dion Ngute, Prime Minister, Head of Government

The Cameroon Business Forum, which begins today, is themed "Emergence and Development of Private Investment in Cameroon". According to the Cameroon employers' Association (GICAM) and the Cameroon Enterprises (ECAM), the meeting will comprise four workshops. The first will focus on "Emergence and the challenge of industrialisation". The guest speaker will be the Minister in charge of Industries. Panellists will include the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Forestry and Wildlife and Livestock and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry.

The second workshop will centre on "improving tax policy for Cameroon's emergence." guest speakers will be the Chairman of Enterprises of Cameroon (Ecam), Protais Ayangma, and the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze. Panellists will the Minister in charge of Economy, Alamine Ousmane Mey, and Minette Libom Li Likeng, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.

The third workshop will consider “Import-Export strategy for the emergence of the country. Main speakers will be the Minister of Trade, Luc Magloire

Mbarga Atangana and the President of the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Christophe Eken. The Ministers of Transport, SMEs and private sector representatives will take part in panel discussions.

Finally, the fourth workshop will set out to define the roadmap for Doing Business 2019. And there will be a platform for joint brainstorming between public and private sector actors.
