Mr. Alim Garba, Inspector General at the Governor’s Office in the North Region and personal representative of the Governor, launched the first edition of the African Women Manufacturers and Innovators Economic Fair, FEMINA 2026, organised by Women Up Africa, on 14 April 2026 in Garoua.
This event, which showcased the expertise and potential of local and sub-regional SMEs, saw the participation of many female entrepreneurs in a variety of activities. The Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC), which has among its main missions the support of SMEs, actively took part in this business and trade event. The CNSC delegation, led by Mrs Armelle Françoise Makasso Belibi, Sub-Director for Shippers' Assistance, included Mrs. Solange Ndomkeu Nya, Sub-Director for SME Assistance, and Mr. Junior Okoumama, Service Head for Archives and Documentation.
For its participation at FEMINA-2026, the CNSC delivered a presentation on export procedures and support mechanisms for SMEs. Particular emphasis was placed on the CNSC’s ongoing commitment to providing female entrepreneurs with the technical and logistical tools necessary to break into international markets.
