The Cameroon Forum of Regulatory Institutions (FIRC) widely known by its French acronym FIRC organised a seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) from 21 to 22 January 2025 in Yaoundé. The two-day capacity-building workshop had as its theme "Artificial Intelligence at the service of public service regulators".
Chaired by Professor Ebot Ebot Enaw, FIRC's Vice-President and Director General of the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC), the workshop brought together several state-owned companies and FIRC member organisations, including CSPH, CCAA, ARMP, ART, ASRAN and ARSEL. Discussions focused on topics such as data analysis, the automation of administrative procedures and improved decision-making.
The CNSC was represented at the workshop by Mr. Owono Bob Philippe Olivier and Mr. Yabeun Kamayo Rodrigue, respectively Centre Regional Branch Manager and Deputy Service Head for Shippers' Assistance.
