“Improving product visibility through social media platforms” was the theme of a training workshop held on 3 June 2024 at the head office building of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC).
The workshop was chaired by CNSC's Director of Assistance to Shippers, Mrs. Claire Onana Takouchop, and featured many young entrepreneurs from the cosmetics, wood and agri-food sectors, among others.
Two communication experts were invited: Sonia Fogay, a community manager, delivered a presentation on how to optimise product visibility using artificial intelligence, while Adeline Tsemo, who works for Biscuiterie BOBO, shared her professional experience in growing the brand.
Knowing your target audience and narrowing it down, teamwork, effectively communicating about your product, monitoring existing competition, using social networks wisely, working on your product marketing strategy... these were just some of the concepts on which participants were schooled.
The purpose of this CNSC training workshop was to help SMEs level up their brand awareness to rapidly increase their sales and envisage exporting their products. This approach is in line with the ‘Made in Cameroon’ promotion policy advocated by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC’s General Manager.
