The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) was amongst the institutions invited by the Special Council Support Fund for Mutual Assistance (FEICOM) to join in celebrations marking FEICOM's 50th anniversary organised on 18 July 2024 in Ebolowa. The CNSC played a key role as one of the experts at a conference themed: FEICOM: 50 years building national solidarity.
During the conference organised on the sidelines of the Central Africa Annual Cross-Border Trade Fair (FOTRAC), Mr. Nolga Fernand Douglas - CNSC’s Director for Trade Facilitation and Transport Observatory delivered a presentation titled “Cargo transport along Cameroon's road corridors: a lever for the local economy”. His presentation highlighted contributions by the CNSC to local economic development through cargo transport facilitation on Cameroon's road corridors.
Organised to mark FEICOM's 50th anniversary, the conference also brought together experts from other organisations and institutions such as CEMAC, MINEPAT, MINDEVEL and MINCOMMERCE. FEICOM saw the event as an opportunity to throw light on collaboration initiatives undertaken with technical and financial partners to help local authorities make the most of development opportunities.
