Female staff of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC Ladies) took part in the sporting activities organised at the Presidential Guard sports complex in Yaoundé on 24 January 2024. These activities mark this year's celebration of International Customs Day.
Coordinated by captain Thérèse Petga, the CNSC Ladies team for the Women's 4X100 relay race included Gaelle Eboupeke, Nelsa Ambe and Jolivette Tessopdjo. Their opponents on the starting line were ladies from the Port Authority of Douala, the Presidential Guard and Cameroon Customs. Despite their efforts, the CNSC Ladies finished fourth.
The sporting event was chaired by Mr. Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, Director General of the Cameroon Customs Department, the organising institution. The day ended with the presentation of awards to the various participating teams.
The celebration of the International Customs Day continues with open-door days at the Yaoundé 101 Air Base, where the CNSC is showcasing its achievements and projects.
