CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Following the inauguration of the newly constructed CNSC Regional Office and Trucker Accommodation Centre in Kousseri, the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) immediately kicked off activities at the facility today, 28 September 2023, by organizing a training seminar on procedures for the passage of goods through border checkpoints in the Far North Region.

The session was opened by the General Manager of the CNSC, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, who underscored the importance of such a training seminar, as it attests to the CNSC’s resolve to assist road transporters of the sub-region.

All geared towards raising awareness on procedures and requirements for the passage of goods across international borders, a series of presentations were delivered by competent administrative authorities both from Chad and Cameroon, and a representative from the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC). Transporter Trade Unions, chief beneficiaries of the trucker facility, seized the opportunity to congratulate the CNSC for this much awaited infrastructure, and tabled some of their key concerns amongst which the construction of warehouses.

Pleased with the outcome of this dual inauguration ceremony, crowned by a successful training seminar, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda invited his fellow collaborators for a common meal, symbolizing the harmony with which they shall collaborate to further promote trade in the sub-region.
