Containing Covid-19

The Dibamba Trucker facility joins the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.

The Dibamba Trucker Accommodation Centre built by the CNSC to ease the movement of truckers and goods along the Douala-N'djamena and Douala-Bangui road corridors hosts some 100 road transporters from the Central African sub-region on a daily basis. As such, the logistics platform has secured modern infrastructure notably comfortable rooms, a restaurant and a mosque.

Considering the fact that the facility is meant to accommodate transporters of various nationalities, measures have been taken therein to ensure the health of its users during the Coronavirus pandemic. "The Dibamba Trucker facility receives close to a hundred users daily. It was therefore, important to also step up measures to combat Covid-19 therein," Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager said.

When transporters arrive at the centre, they are briefed on hygiene measures regarding the fight against the Covid-19. Security operatives from the National Gendarmerie and other security officers working there see to the strict observance of preventive measures therein namely the wearing face masks, hand washing and taking the temperature of users before they enter the Centre and its various facilities. "We congratulate the CNSC for all the actions aimed at containing Covid-19", Mr. Ruben Nyam, DELTRANS General Manager Director said.
