A new maritime navigation simulator has been installed at the Douala Maritime Museum since 6 September 2023.

The simulator offers visitors the opportunity to virtually sail aboard a Logistic, Dry Cargo, Container, Yatch, Tug, Ferryboat or Sea Bus vessel.

This brand-new equipment comes with real-time images and sound effects, giving visitors a real-life experience of operating a vessel at sea, and more particularly in Cameroon's waters.

With the novel attraction, the museum now offers ship lovers and enthusiasts the opportunity to acquaint themselves with a ship's control panel, navigation chart, GPS, radar, propulsion lever, and a host of other features.

The Douala Maritime Museum is open to visitors, children and adults alike, from Tuesday to Sunday, and also offers a plethora of other attractions.
