CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

A group of 14 cadets and their supervisors visited the Douala Maritime Museum on 4 March 2026, under the coordination of Captain ISSOVA SONO Séraphine, Commander of the Navy Training and Specialisation School (ECAPOM) based in Douala.

Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by Mr. BIYAGA MBOCK, Service Head of the Douala Maritime Museum. The sailors took a guided tour of the various exhibitions and learned more about Cameroon's maritime history.

In addition to objects relating to the Cameroonian coastline, the sailors also visited the “Matrimoine” exhibition, which has been open to the public since 27 February 2026. This exhibition, which ends on 29 March, showcases some thirty paintings by nine Cameroonian visual artists.
