The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) took part in the 10th session of Committee No. 2 "Promotion, Communication and Cooperation" of the Port Community on 10 April at the premises of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK).

The session was chaired by Mr. Luc Ndob, Head of CNSC's Communication Unit and Vice-President of the Committee, in the presence of Stephane Tagne Simo, Deputy Secretary General of the Ports Community.

Discussions provided an overview of the actions taken to boost the visibility of the Kribi port since 20 September 2024, when the session was lastly convened.

Taking the case of the CNSC, mention was made of the organisation of a training session on the innovations of the new finance law in January 2025, participation in the international conference on the blue economy in February in Gambia, and the organisation of a national workshop on import substitution in April 2025, among others.

The 10th session of this committee at the Kribi Port also provided an opportunity to sample solutions to the empty container problem faced by PAK and to consider ways of improving awareness among shipping lines as a solution.
