The 11th session of Technical Commission No. 1, dubbed "Port Facilities and Development" for the port of Kribi and chaired by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) took place on 29 October 2025 in Mboro, Kribi.
The session, which saw the attendance of all members, was chaired by Mr. Younouss Soungui, CNSC Deputy General Manager and Chairman of the Commission. He was assisted by Mr. Stéphane Tagne Simo, Deputy Secretary General of the National Ports Community, Port-Synthèse.
The public and private administrations that are members of the Kribi Port Community assessed the progress of projects and works, as well as the safety and security of the port area. Proposals for improvement were made with a view to ensuring the smooth operation at the port of Kribi.
In the second phase of the meeting, the session visited the Kribi port area. They were given a guided tour of the MAYESSE tugboat at the quayside by its crew.
The field visit enabled the Commission to better assess the work being carried out on the various construction sites within the port area. Based on its observations, the Commission found the Port of Kribi to be more efficient, attractive and competitive by the day.
