CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Today, 25 November 2022, the members of Technical Commission No. 1 "Port Installations and Development" from Port-Synthèse were at the Port of Kribi for their traditional technical review meeting, following which they visited the different facilities of the port of Kribi. The visit was led by Mr. Younouss Soungui, Deputy General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) and Chairman of the said Commission. Another prominent member of the delegation was Mr. Stephane Tagne Simo, Deputy Secretary General of the National Ports Community.

For the record, Port- Synthèse was created in 1994 within the Douala port community. The association later opened its doors to major actors of the maritime and port sectors, public administrations, business persons, and socio-professional organisations. Note that Port-Synthèse mainly seeks to promote Cameroon's foreign trade and to oversee the proper functioning of Cameroon's ports and conventional cargo transport corridors.

With the admission of the Port Authorities of Kribi and Limbe, the Douala Port Community, dubbed Port Synthèse, was rebaptised in 2018 as the National Ports Community.
