The local business community and other foreign trade stakeholders in the town of Garoua took part in the very first training seminar organised by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) at its newly opened regional office. The training seminar took place on Wednesday 8 May 2024 under the theme "Mastering customs clearance and trade procedures at Cameroon's northern borders".
CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, was himself present to oversee the various presentations delivered by experts from different public institutions intervening in foreign trade operations such as the Ministry of Trade, the Cameroon Customs, Gendarmerie and National Security, among others.
Representatives of SMEs and trade unions were satisfied with the quality of the discussions and expressed sincere gratitude to the CNSC for its contribution to promoting cross-border trade.
With the official opening of this Regional Office, the CNSC is stepping up its shippers' assistance services in the North Region. Some site visits will be conducted in the days ahead, precisely in Bandake and Gashiga.
