Cameroon will take part in the 59th edition of the Paris International Agricultural Show in France from February 25 to March 5, 2023, through a pavilion acquired by the government. This information was revealed on January 24, 2023 in Yaoundé, the country's capital.* during an information meeting of economic operators, organized by the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forestry (Capef).

At this international event on agriculture, the Cameroon pavilion will showcase the know-how of local actors, we learn. It is recalled that during the inauguration of the 2020 edition of this grand agricultural event, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, stopped at the stand of the start-up "Save Our Agriculture" of the young Cameroonian engineer Flavien Kouatcha.

On this occasion, the young entrepreneur had the opportunity to present to Emmanuel Macron the results of his work on aquaponics. This is a technique that combines both fish and vegetable farming. The young Cameroonian's work has already been awarded the EDF Pulse Africa Prize, organised by Électricité de France, and the first-ever Pierre Castel Prize in 2018.

Another prominent Cameroonian attraction at the Paris Agricultural Show was often the Penja pepper. The exhibition of this internationally renowned spice at the Paris event was often financed by the AFD, which notably enabled the labeling of this condiment produced on the volcanic land of the Moungo, on the Cameroon coast. In 2023, the Cameroon pavilion could allow visitors to discover other wonders of Cameroon's agricultural sector.
