On Wednesday 30 August 2023, shippers, forwarding agents and other business persons attended an awareness-raising session at the Yaoundé-Nsimalen airport. The event focused on the connection of the CNSC's Air ECTN issuance platform to the e-force platform operated by the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (Guichet Unique des Opérations du Commerce Extérieur- GUCE).
The session was coordinated by Mrs. Rahimatou Bello Mohamadou, CNSC Deputy Director for Operations, with the assistance of a number of GUCE officials, and Mr. Owono Bob Philippe Olivier, CNSC Centre Regional Branch Manager. Participants were given a tonne of information on the process and have one month to assimilate the new procedures which will come into force on 2 October 2023, date retained for its effective implementation.
They were also urged to take all the necessary steps to ensure that their ECTN requests are accompanied by an import/export declaration or the GUCE form, in addition to other documents already required.
The awareness-raising session, which took place at the Yaoundé airport, featured Powerpoint presentations and question-and-answer sessions, following which participants were invited to contact the CNSC if they needed further assistance.
