SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Successively organized on March 2 and 3, 2026, by the Cameroon National Shippers Council (CNSC) at its head office in Douala, the training seminar themed “Women and trade facilitation: Easing Access to Funding and Networks for an Enhanced Economic Empowerment of Women” drew a strong turnout of women. 


The seminar was held within the framework of traditional activities organized by the CNSC in the run-up to International Women's Rights Day (IWD) celebrated on 8 March.
On the last day of the training, Mr. Maurice Nsia Mengue, an expert in gender and economic empowerment at MINPROFF, briefed participants on national strategies relating to gender promotion and women's entrepreneurship. Mr. Thierry Gankou Fouapong from CCA Bank focused more on the products and initiatives carried out by this banking institution in favour of women for better financial facilities, namely: CCA WOMEN BANKING and CCA First Lady Loan.

 

To conclude the day, Mr. Stéphane Njouomegne delivered a presentation on “Innovating through the business model,” calling on women entrepreneurs to take more initiative in their activities.
