SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

About a hundred promoters of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), business persons and shippers attended a training seminar organised by the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) at the Douala Maritime Museum on 10 December 2025.

Holding under the theme “Understanding and Mastering Administrative and Customs Import Procedures for Enhanced Shipper Competitiveness”, the training aimed to strengthen the capacities of external trade actors to improve the monitoring, fluidity, traceability and competitiveness of customs import procedures.

Question and answer sessions were coordinated by Mr. Tonye Merveille, CNSC’s Sub-Director for Training and International Cooperation. Other institutions that delivered presentations during the training included the Container Terminal Management (RTC), Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), the Directorate General of Customs, MSC shipping company and the Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE).

Among the key speakers was Mrs. Ngo Ndenga Ntjam Flore, Head of CNSC’s Operations Unit, who delivered a presentation on the issuance procedures of BESC 3.0 with emphasis on import logistics and product traceability.

The session was enriched by presentations from other experts, particularly Mrs. Ayongo Bitchoka, GUCE Service Head for Training; Mr. Momo Dongmo P., Assistant Head of RTC’s Marketing Division; Mr. Mbassi Sylvain, Peace Team Leader; and Mr. Kpouzamoun Issoufa, Valuation Team Leader, all from SGS. Their presentations dwelt on procedures for the issuance of Certificates of Conformity (RVC), Import Declarations (DI-RVC), container terminal tariffs and the renewal of delivery notes.
