Staff at the Douala Maritime Museum were delighted to welcome Jocelyne Beroard, a world-renowned recording artist, on 22 June 2023. She was the sole female voice of the famous Caribbean music group Kassav for a number of years.
Touring the exhibitions of the museum in amazement, Jocelyne Beroard was given a guided tour of the paintings, artifacts and documentary films on display, revealing to her the rich maritime heritage of Cameroon's coastal region.
This visit to the Douala Maritime Museum is in prelude to a fundraising gala organised by the NGO Espoir Santé Afrique in Cameroon.
