With technical assistance from the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Women's International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA International) Cameroon is holding its General Assembly in the training hall at the CNSC head office building in Douala from 3 to 4 April 2025. Founded in 1974 by a group of women from Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and the United Kingdom, this association now counts amongst its members over 3,000 renowned professionals in the maritime, trading and logistics sectors.

The meeting, chaired by Mrs. Linda Mabuh Mutoh, Port Officer at the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and President of WISTA International Cameroon, aims to review the organization’s by-laws for possible amendments, and to register persons who wish to be elected into posts of responsibility within the association.

Sharing WISTA International's vision for a better involvement of women in the maritime and trading sectors, the CNSC, together with PAD and PAK, was represented at the meeting by Mrs. Corina Ekongwesse, Vice-President of WISTA International Cameroon and CNSC Sub-Director for Quality and Standards; Mrs. Rahimatou Bello, Sub-Director for Operations; Miss Mireille Nkwei, Sub-Director for Management Control; Mrs. Oumoul Mammadou, Head of the Internal Audit Unit and Mrs. Solange Ndomkeu, Service Head for Foreign Trade Procedures.

The general assembly continues tomorrow with an elective session.
