"Fluid traffic on corridors".

This is the main theme of the 3rd Tripartite Forum CAR-CHAD-CAMEROON, 6 to 8 December 2021

Cameroon's Port Community (Port Synthèse) takes the stage in Bangui, Central African Republic.

The launching ceremony was chaired by Mr. Arnaud Abazene Djoubaye, CAR's Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, in the presence of his Cameroonian counterpart Mr. Jean Ernest Massena NGALLE BIBEHE. The event was marked by the projection of documentaries showing how resolved port and international trade promotion institutions are towards finding solutions for the fluid movement of goods along the Douala-Bangui / Douala Djamena corridors.

The documentary by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council of Cameroon (CNSC) presented its plan to construct accommodation centres along the corridors that run from Cameroonian ports to landlocked sister countries of Central African Republic and Chad. A thunder of applause ensued after this presentation of logistic centres offering modern facilities for a better accommodation for truckers and their assistants.

A summary presentation by the Secretary General of the Port Community introduced the workshops on infrastructure and superstructure while workshops on procedures and institutional aspects the are scheduled for the second day of the Forum. A workshop on “Transport facilitation and security” shall equally hold on the second day.

The Forum ends on Wednesday 8 December with exhibitions from various companies operating in the ports of Douala and Kribi.
