Today 22 May 2024, some fifteen business executives were received at the head office of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) for a briefing on the International exhibition for import-export from & to Africa (AFRIMPEX) to be held in Algeria from 2 to 4 June 2024.
Discussions were coordinated by Mr. Etienne Cham Bama and Mr. Fernand Nolga, respectively Technical Adviser No. 1 and Director for Trade Facilitation and Transports Observatory at the CNSC. They presented an overview of the International Exhibition, the potential benefits for Cameroonian companies, and the registration formalities.
The key opportunities offered by this 4th import-export exhibition to and from Africa include the marketing of Cameroonian products on the African market, the possibility of meeting potential investors, the development of inter-African trade relations and the valorisation of business opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AfCFTA). The targeted sectors are industry, agriculture, fisheries, services, transport and logistics.
Among the SMEs represented at this meeting convened by the CNSC were Sweet Choco, ANAB CIG and Creativ Group. They hailed this initiative by the CNSC, which in return assured them of its willingness to support them at every stage of their preparations towards participating in the AFRIMPEX exhibition.
