The Cooperative of Women Cassava Producers of the Sanaga Maritime Division in Cameroon (PROMASAMACAM) patronised by the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, is taking an active part in the 2nd edition of the International Cassava Festival “All Kassava 2025”, holding in Douala from 24 to 27 July 2025.
PROMASAMACAM cooperative was created in May 2025 in the district of Pouma, and joined other exhibitors from various regions of Africa, to showcase Cameroon’s agricultural diversity. Its different exhibition stands present a wide range of products derived from cassava. Visitors can purchase foodstuffs such as Garri, Bobollo, Miondo, Mintumba and a variety of flours. The well-stocked stalls also feature fresh tubers and cassava cuttings.
These processed products are neatly packaged and labelled, demonstrating the know-how acquired by these female cassava farmers from the various training workshops organised by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council.
Its presence at this international event underscores PROMASAMACAM's determination to promote the “one woman, one hectare of cassava” initiative launched in 2022 by the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA).
