CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

Official launch of B2B meetings between some thirty Turkish exporters and Cameroonian businesses.

The meeting which took place today, 3 October 2023 in Douala, was chaired by Cameroon's Trade Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana. It is actually the outcome of a series of initiatives undertaken by the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), including a special mission sent to Turkey in June and the hosting of an advanced mission from the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) on 7 September 2023.

Speaking at the event, CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, recalled that these actions were part of the CNSC's mission to assist shippers and to facilitate foreign trade operations. He also made it clear that the CNSC will provide both the Turkish delegation and Cameroonian businessmen with all the information they might need to guarantee the smooth running of this budding collaboration.

Today's event, which was also attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon, marks a major step towards boosting trade between both countries.
