On Monday 1 July 2024, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Italy in Douala, H.E. Mauro Battistella, cut the symbolic ribbon to mark the official opening of the new Storm Room at the Douala Maritime Museum.
This attraction, symbol of a long-standing collaboration between Cameroon and Italy, offers its visitors all the sensations of riding on a dugout canoe. It was aboard these canoes that the two dignitaries and their close collaborators experienced the fog, water splashes and jolts caused by the movement of the waves as they watched the animated film MALOBE.
Following this unique experience, the Honorary Consul of Italy based in Douala, H.E Mauro Battistella, officially visiting the Douala Maritime Museum for the second time, encouraged and congratulated CNSC's General Manager for all his accomplishments since the opening of the Douala Maritime Museum in 2013
