The 137th edition of the International Labour Day was celebrated on May 1st under the theme: "Resilience and decent work: acting together in the world of work to improve living conditions and social inclusion".
Labour Day celebrations in Cameroon are traditionally marked by a parade. The Cameroon National Shippers' Council joined the ranks of thousands of workers who came to take part in the parade at the Besseke Boulevard in the presence of the Governor of the Littoral Region and many other administrative authorities who came to attend this rather patriotic event for many workers.
After the parade, CNSC's Management invited all its staff to share a family meal. It was an opportunity for Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager, to congratulate the staff for having positively distinguished themselves in many respects while inviting them to work harder as "much is still to be done", he concluded.
