CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

A delegation from the CNSC led by Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager and Vice-chair of the MINREX-CNSC platform is at Kigali for the CHOGM 2022. The event started today, 20 June 2022, with the Commonwealth Women's Forum chaired by Rwandan First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs. Jeannette Kagame. The welcome address by Rt. Hon Patricia Scotland QC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, marvelled every woman in the audience.

The first segment opened with a plenary session on women's leadership beyond their numbers, followed by another on women's economic empowerment. Rwanda’s First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame, brilliantly motivated women to take responsibility. She closed the first part of the meeting with words of encouragement stating that "the role of women victim of conflicts needs to switch to the role of women frontline defender. Yes, together we can, we must, we will".
