The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) is in the West region since 17 December 2024, to take part in the activities of the 5th Ordinary General Meeting of the Cameroon Road Transporters Union held at Hôtel Talotel in Bafoussam.
Day one of the event was chaired by the Representative of the Governor of the West Region. Discussions covered topics such as Road safety awareness and training strategies, Taxation in the transport sector and the importance of widening the tax base for the development of road transport facilities, Regulation and standardisation of transport services, and the Creation of a platform for sector actors to meet, share experiences and forge partnerships.
The representative of the Governor of the West Region along with his entourage were received at the CNSC stand by Mr. Christopher Agwagwa, Head of CNSC's Communications and Public Relations Division. They were immediately given a brief presentation of CNSC's activities geared towards assisting Cameroon's foreign trade players.
Satisfied with the presentation, the Governor's representative congratulated the CNSC on its presence nationwide, and for its integrative, job-creating projects.
The 5th GTTC Ordinary General Meeting which runs until 18 December 2024 brings together key players of the road transport sector, offering them a platform to discuss and reflect on the stakes and challenges of the industry.
