Since May 6, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) has been holding sectoral consultation meetings with different sectors in order to determine the minimum applicable rates for the transportation of goods in these sectors.
Next on the list of consultations, stakeholders of the basic commodity sector met today, 18 May 2022, to deliberate on applicable rates. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Younouss Soungui, Deputy General Manager of the CNSC.
At the close of the resourceful and constructive debates, the shippers and transporters reached a consensus on the minimum applicable rates for the transportation of basic commodities. The consultation meetings continue tomorrow, 19 May 2022, on applicable rates for the transportation of goods in containers.
