CAMEROON NATIONAL
SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC) was key in the organisation of a seminar themed “Building resilient economies through intra-commonwealth trade and investment”.

The event, co-organised with the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX), the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (TRB), the Special Council Support Fund for Mutual Assistance (FEICOM), and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), took place on 6 March 2025 at the Conference Room of TRB's head office in Yaoundé.

The CNSC was represented on the panel by its Technical Advisor No. 1 Mr. Etienne Cham Bama, who doubles as Regional Director of the CWEIC Hub for Cameroon-Gabon-Togo. Discussions focused on policy review and the search for opportunities, with a view to identifying avenues for cooperation within the Commonwealth, as well as the obstacles to achieving shared growth.

High-ranking personalities such as the South African High Commissioner, Mr. Mandla Langa, the Indian High Commissioner, Mr. Shri Vijay, and the Director General of the Hydrocarbons Price Stabilization Fund, Mr. Johnson Okie Ndoh, were in attendance.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the discussions and the relevance of the initiative, which was one of many activities organised to commemorate 2025 Commonwealth Day in Cameroon.
