SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

On the occasion of the feast of Tabaski, the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, communed with truck drivers of the Douala-Bangui and Douala-Ndjamena road corridors together with their assistants.

To celebrate this great moment of communion which took place on 17 June 2024 at the eatery of the CNSC Dibamba trucker facility, two sheep were sacrificed in accordance with the precepts of the Muslim faith. Among those present were the National President of the Cameroon Road Transporters Union (GTTC), Mr. Ibrahima Yaaya, and a host of CNSC officials.

The event featured a moment of prayer in the newly refurbished mosque of the facility, prior to the opening of the buffet. CNSC's General Manager, Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, guaranteed the 100 or so truck drivers present of his support and reaffirmed his determination to further facilitate cargo transport along Cameroon's road corridors.

By celebrating the Feast of Tabaski with the occupants of the CNSC Dibamba Trucker Accommodation Centre, CNSC's Management is further laying emphasis on the relevance of the concept "accommodation centre"; a place where people can meet, share and live together as a community. Similar initiatives are envisaged in the future.
