SHIPPERS' COUNCIL

The CNSC Garoua Boulaï Trucker Accommodation Centre, a project launched in September 2022, is now more than 90% complete.

This was confirmed by the Governor of the East Region, Mr. Gregoire Mvongo, during a visit to the construction site today, 9 June 2025. He was given a tour of the facility by the General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, and was able to see the parking lot with a capacity of 200 trucks, the lodging quarters, the prayer hall, the eatery, and the administrative block. The facility equally has a power generator and a borehole that, together with other amenities, provide necessary comfort for truckers plying the Douala/Kribi-Bangui road corridor.

Following the visit, CNSC's General Manager remarked that “this CNSC Garoua Boulaï Trucker Accommodation Centre spans over 2 hectares, and will enhance the attractiveness of Cameroon‘s ports to the Central African sub-region, as desired by the President of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya”.

The facility is expected to go operational in September 2025.
