The General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, met with various administrative authorities of the North region upon his arrival in Garoua for the official opening of the CNSC North Regional Office slated for 7 May 2024.
His first audience was with the Governor of the North Region, Mr. Jean Edi'i Abate, with whom he discussed practical modalities for the official ceremony the following day.
CNSC's General Manager then met with the Senior Divisional Officer for Benoue Division, Mr. Oumarou Haman Wabi, along with his deputies. They all commended this initiative to set up a CNSC Regional Office in the city of Garoua.
Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda and the entire CNSC delegation accompanying him also held a working session with the President of the North Regional Council, Mr. Umarou Usmanou. This working session mainly focused on cross-border trade, the economic potentials of the North Region, and avenues for collaboration between both institutions.
These audiences, held in quick succession throughout the day of 6 May 2024, offered an opportunity to present various CNSC projects in service to the business community and shippers of this region which has three road corridors leading to Nigeria, Chad and the Central African Republic.
