Saturday, March 5 has left an indelible mark on the minds of the staff of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC). CNSC’s ladies, in prelude to the commemoration of the 2022 International Women’s Day (IWD), organized a gala match at the Bepanda Omnisport stadium’s mini-pitch. The General Manager Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, a die-hard lover of football, was himself present on the pitch in full attire, to cheer his female staff as they set out to rival world-class teams in terms of playstyle and tactics.
Unlike ordinary matches where one sees professional footballers, the quick-paced encounter revealed the sportsmanship of these CNSC corporate ladies one bypasses in the corridors every day. This was a rare occasion that somehow obliged them to bring out those hidden skills they had besides handling daily office paperwork. In habitual solidarity, the entire CNSC staff was there to cheer their ladies to victory, amazed by the dribbles and body movements some of the ladies had in store.
This football encounter was preceded by a conference organized under the theme "Unlocking the potential of women engaged in foreign trade" organized by the CNSC, which further underlines the GM’s commitment to the protection of women’s rights and interests as he unfailingly rallies to their causes whenever called upon. These activities are all in preparation for the grand celebration of the 2022 International Women’s Day and we look forward to a wonderful one with CNSC’s ladies.
