Auguste Mbappe Penda, CNSC General Manager, leads a delegation to the headquarters of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC)
From March 28 to April 2, 2022, the Cameroon National Shippers' Council (CNSC), represented by its GM Mr. Auguste Mbappe Penda, will be present in London at the invitation of the Chairman of the CWEIC, Lord Marland Odstock. This is on the occasion of a series of CWEIC activities amongst which the Global Advisory Council Meeting scheduled on 31 March 2022.
With a view to facilitating access to project financing and promoting the activities of Cameroon’s shipping community, the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX) thought it necessary to sail on CWEIC's ship bringing along the CNSC through the MINREX/CNSC platform created on 14 September 2021, charged with the implementation and monitoring of the strategic institutional partnership between the CNSC and the CWEIC.
As concerns Cameroon, discussions at this CWEIC London meeting dwelled on a review of Cameroon’s Strategic Partnership with CWEIC and the possible establishment of a hub office in Cameroon, as well as an assessment of progress made by the CNSC-MINREX platform vis-à-vis the CWEIC. The Cameroon shippers’ council has equally been invited to take part in the Commonwealth Business Forum, in Kigali, Rwanda, where she will be leading a business delegation with the aim to create business ties that will promote Cameroon’s trade with Commonwealth member states.
